The unveiling of Newport's Cenotaph war memorial in 1923

2011 D-Day parade through Newport.




Remembrance Day Service and Parade that took place in Newport City, Gwent on Sunday 14th November 2010.

The video's below shows the graves in the Durnbach War Cemetery in Germany of PO. Arthur Marcus Fitzgerald, pilot of Lancaster bomber ED627 of 207 Squadron who died along with his crew on 28th August 1943 .

Arthur was from Cyril Street in Newport.

It should also be noted that a number of other Newport airmen are buried in this cemetery.

This is a second video of the graves taken on the 66th anniversary of their deaths and also includes the graves of a number of other bomber crews who died on the same night and are featured on the Lancaster ED627 web site, one of which was also shot down about 30mins after  the Fitzgerald crew by the the same German night fighter pilot, Hauptmann Ludwig (Luk) Meister.
